WAYS TO GIVE

Zelle

  • Access Zelle from the "pay accounts" or similar feature in your online bank account. You can also get started by enrolling your mobile phone number on the Zelle app.

  • Use give@waypoint.church to add Waypoint Church as a recipient. If asked to provide the recipient's first and last name, use "Waypoint" as the first name and "Church" as the last name.

  • Enter the amount to send.

  • Donations will go to the general fund unless otherwise indicated by entering a designation in the memo section. (e.g., general fund, children, youth, etc.) 

  • Hit "Send" and your donation will immediately transfer to the Waypoint Church account.

Venmo:

  • Open the Venmo app.

  • Tap the "Pay/Request" button (the blue button with a pencil and dollar sign).

  • Search for the username: @WaypointChurchSM

  • Enter the amount.

  • Donations will go into the general fund, unless otherwise indicated. Add a note to specify the fund. (e.g., general fund, global missions, children, etc.)

  • Tap "Pay."​​

TEXT

Text-to-give:

  • Text “give” to (650) 200-2033. You’ll receive a quick reply "How much would you like to give?”

  • Text any amount. (e.g., "50" or “$50”; dollar sign is optional)

  • New donors will receive a link to set up their payment details. Returning donors get a confirmation text.

  • Donations will go into the general fund unless otherwise indicated. To designate a different fund, text the amount followed by the fund. (e.g., "50 missions", “50 children”, “50 youth”) Be sure to put a “space” between the amount and the fund keyword.

  • To set up a recurring donation, text the amount and how often. (e.g., “50 weekly”, “50 biweekly”, “50 monthly”, “50 yearly”)

PayPal:

  • Click the PayPal icon which will take you to the Waypoint donation page.

  • Enter the donation frequency. (e.g., one-time, weekly, monthly)

  • Enter the donation amount.Choose either “Donate with PayPal” or “Donate with Debit or Credit Card.”

  • Enter your payment information.

  • Donations will go into the general fund, unless otherwise indicated. To specify a different fund, enter the fund to the “Add special instructions to the seller” section. (e.g., children, youth, global missions, etc.)

  • Tap "Donate Now" button.​​​​

Check:

  • Use your checking account “Bill Pay” feature and select Waypoint Church as the payee or write a personal check.

  • Donations will go to the general fund unless another fund is indicated on the memo line.

  • Mail the check to Waypoint Church, 194 West 25th Ave., San Mateo, CA 94403.​​​​​

Stocks:

  • Receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full fair market value of stock or mutual fund. Long-term appreciated assets have a fair market value greater than their cost, since they were generally purchased more than 12 months earlier.

  • Stock donations may be transferred into the Waypoint Church account at Charles Schwab.

  • For the Schwab account information, send an email to give@waypoint.church or contact the church office. ​​​​​​
