Jonathan "Sunny" Arnold, Ph.D.
Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Arnold is the President and Founder of Christian Counseling Centers, Inc. A 1978 graduate of the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology at Fuller Theological Seminary, he has facilitated the establishment, growth, and development of numerous Christian Counseling Centers throughout Northern California. In his clinical practice, he works with adolescents, adults, couples and families. He specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders, mood disorders, emotional and physical trauma, and stress-related disorders. He also does extensive work in the areas of marital therapy and relationship counseling. As a Senior Clinician, Dr. Arnold is committed to providing effective treatment services that are supported by proven behavioral research, and consistent and integrated with Christian beliefs and values.

Steve Barney, M.S., M.A.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Steve has counseled people both inside and outside the church since 1992. Prior to completing his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at 42, Steve practiced as a Pastoral Counselor. He loves to help individuals, couples, families and churches develop their communication skills; and thereby, improve their relationships and overall family and organizational lives. Steve was trained by Dr. Patrick Carnes, holds Certifications in Sexual and Multiple Addictions from the IITAP, the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. He is also a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist and is trained in Attachment-Focused EMDR by the Parnell Institute.

Candice Thompson, M.M.F.T.
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Candice Thompson is a therapist, wife, and mother in the Bay Area. She has been practicing psychotherapy since 2010, after graduating with her Master's from the University of Southern California. She also gained a certificate in Biblical Theology from Western Seminary. Candice has a passion for integrating faith into the therapeutic process, believing that God's heart can be found in the most difficult seasons of life.
